ID2Office Annual Licence – InDesign to Word, PowerPoint® and Keynote conversion Plug-in for InDesign
ID2Office is a Plug-in for InDesign that converts InDesign files to the Microsoft Office file formats. ID2Office converts InDesign files to the latest Microsoft Word 2010-2013 file type while maintaining the layout. ID2Office now offers full InDesign CC 2017 support while maintaining support for InDesign CS6, CC, CC 2014 and CC 2015.
ID2Office has been engineered from the ground-up integrating seamlessly with Adobe InDesign. ID2Office eliminates the need to recreate the contents of an InDesign file in Microsoft Word/PowerPoint resulting in enhanced workflow automation. ID2Office provides precise control over the conversion process. Options for image type, image resolution, frames linking, paragraph spacing controls exist designed for fine-tuning the conversion result.
ID2Office v2 added Nested table support. This means Nested InDesign tables are now converted to Nested Word Tables! This is a complete break-through in engineering. Previous versions of ID2Office created text frames and simply captured the lines as graphics when ever Nested tables were encountered.
What’s even cooler with Nested InDesign tables, is that when they are converted to Keynote or PowerPoint, these are mimicked as Nested PowerPoint and Keynote tables. The nested tables are overlaid above the cells (Keynote and PowerPoint don’t have support for Nested tables) giving the nested table the same look and feel, maintaining layout integrity!
ID2Office v2.2 has been enhanced to support Adobe InDesign CC 2017, the latest version of InDesign for both macOS and Windows. Additionally, ID2Office v2.2 has been augmented to convert style sheet properties defined in InDesign tables into Word Table style sheets properties. ID2Office v2.2 also improves conversion fidelity in several areas when exporting InDesign files to the Word, PowerPoint and Keynote type.
Key New Features:
Integration with InDesign CC 2017
ID2Office has been enhanced to operate and function with InDesign CC 2017.
Character and Paragraph styles in Table cells
Character and Paragraph styles which are defined in Table cells are now converted to Microsoft Word style sheets and applied appropriately.
Paragraph rules are converted to Microsoft Word paragraph borders.
Conversion of InDesign files to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Keynote formats have been enhanced in several areas providing even more accurate conversions.
Tables spanning across pages/columns:
Tables that span across pages and columns are now properly replicated in the resulting Word, PowerPoint and Keynote format so that a WYSIWIG representation of the table is preserved.
Paragraph shading (InDesign CC 2015/2017 only):
InDesign CC 2015/2017 paragraph shading property is recognised and applied when converting to Word format.
Images in Table Cells (InDesign CC 2015/2017 only):
Support has been added for InDesign CC 2015/2017 Images in Table cells.
You will also benefit from the improved handling of odd shaped text frames. In InDesign, you can have text frames that are triangular or oval with a red fill or whatever. In Keynote and PowerPoint and Word it is not doable. But in version 2, Recosoft implemented something smart and now the triangular background fill or star shaped background fills of a text frame appear correctly!
Convert InDesign to PowerPoint, Word and Apple Keynote:
1) 1. To Convert an InDesign file to Word, PowerPoint or Apple Keynote, choose the ID2Office – Export to Office command from the Recosoft menu in InDesign.
2) Once the ID2Office – Options window appears, select whether to save the InDesign file as Word, PowerPoint or Keynote format.
3) The InDesign file is converted to the Office format with editable text, tables and graphics while the layout has been retained.
ID2Office Professional contains the extra ability to convert InDesign files to the Apple Keynote format. Otherwise everything else is the same.
The licence model for ID2Office is based on an annual subscription.
